The Welsh Highland Railway Centenary Celebrations took place over the weekend of 23rd, 24th & 25th of June 2023.

Tthe ‘Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways’ & the ‘Welsh Highland Heritage Railway’ along with the WHR Heritage Group and other supporting societies worked together to organise these celebrations, which primarily took place in and around Porthmadog.
The 2023 event re-created scenes from the original WHR operation and showcased the history of this iconic line right through to the scenic tourist trains that operate today.

Cafodd Dathliadau Canmlwyddiant Rheilffordd Ucheldir Cymru eu cynnal dros benwythnos y 23ain, 24ain a 25ain o Fehefin 2023.
Cydweithiodd ‘Rheilffordd Ffestiniog ac Eryri’ a ‘Rheilffordd Treftadaeth Ucheldir Cymru’ ynghyd â’u cymdeithasau cefnogol i drefnu’r dathliadau hyn, a gafodd eu cynnal yn bennaf yn ardal Porthmadog.
Gwnaeth y digwyddiad yn 2023 ail-greu golygfeydd o weithrediad gwreiddiol RHUC ac arddangos hanes y llinell eiconig hon hyd at y trenau twristiaeth golygfaol sy’n gweithredu heddiw.
